This course gives workers the practical knowledge and skills needed to become a health and safety champion, learning how to advocate for change in relation to health and safety, how to identify and report hazards, and competently participate in health and safety meetings and forums.
Duration: 1 day
Understanding the key duties under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and the reasons for managing health and safety is the key content of this foundation level course. It gives the practical knowledge and skills workers need to become a health and safety champion and to contribute to and help improve effectiveness of their H&S Committee.
Students will learn to respond consistently when approached for help from co-workers, how to advocate for change in relation to health and safety, how to identify and report hazards, and competently participate in health and safety meetings and forums.
On successful completion, students will be able to:
